Overview
XLServer is delivered as a pre-packaged virtual appliance in OVA format, ready to be deployed on common virtualization platforms:
- VMware (Workstation or ESXi, version 6 or higher)
- VirtualBox (version 6 or higher)
There are two downloadable OVA images:
xlserver-vmware.ova
: for VMware platformsxlserver-virtualbox.ova
: for Oracle VirtualBox
ℹ️ Note: Oracle VirtualBox is a Type-2 hypervisor used to run virtual machines on standard operating systems.

You can Download the Free Edition to explore and evaluate the product.
The Free Edition includes all core functionalities but comes with the following limitations:
- Only the predefined project
DEFAULT
is available - Maximum of 1 live database connection
- Limited to 5 GB of storage on the datastore
- No multi-project or multi-user configuration
- No ITSM or external system integration
✅ The Free Edition is a great way to test XLServer in real environments with real databases.
Request a Commercial Edition
For production use or full-scale environments, you can request access to one of the Commercial Editions:
Standard, Professional, or Enterprise.
These editions remove the limitations of the Free Edition and introduce powerful capabilities tailored to different needs:

- Limited to one live database and maximum of three clone databases.
- Basic project and user management
• Professional Edition
- Designed for medium-sized infrastructure
- Limited to three live databases
- Role-based access control

Deployment Overview
Deploying XLServer involves:
- Downloading the appropriate OVA file
- Importing the OVA into your preferred virtualization platform
- Performing initial CLI configuration
- Accessing the Web Console for configuration and management
